Ripple Cake

One of my most sweetest and cutest friend (Nabila) decided to drop by from New Jersey this week. So I thought of making a sweet little something for her. It’s the most easiest dessert ever, it requires very few ingredients and takes about 10 minutes to prepare. The best part is that you can do it the night before. You can choose to do it in a bowl as I have done and pipped the left over cream over the top. Or you can make it in to a log as the recipe below read. I got this recipe from a very near and dear person to my heart… Kakon Api. Thank you so much! This is one of mine and Rishi’s favourite desserts. Ingredients: Whipping cream, Sugar, Vanilla extract, Chocolate biscuits (Cocoa powder, strawberries or raspberries are optional)

I always look for easy breakfast recipes, something that I wouldn’t have to work too hard for after waking up. And if I can do it the night before.. even better :D. This didn’t really take much time to prepare at all. Just let it marinate in the egg mixture overnight, take it out of the freezer and bake it till it smells all savory and delicious. Ingredients: Bread rolls, Eggs, Milk, butter, Cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, Dry mustard, Salt, Cayenne pepper and Chives.

I have never tasted nutella up until a few weeks ago. I know its absurd .. I grew up in the states yet totally oblivious to something so familiar to every children out here. Such a shame .. but better late than never. So recently I have been on a nutella kick. I have discovered a new way of making French toast with a new found gem in my kitchen cabinet. Another simple yet satisfying dessert. You can even use cream cheese as a filling. ” Nutella French Toast” Ingredients: Eggs, milk, bread, sugar, cinnamon ground, strawberries, banana, butter and nutella.

A special Eid indeed .. for the fist time in my life I was cooking in the same kitchen as my mother. Though we weren’t up and running exactly on Eid day. We still managed to come through and celebrate and share our love of cooking. .

Is there such a thing as simple perfection ? I believe there is .. when all your sensory gifts come together and sing in harmony. Food can induce that kind of feeling sometimes .. when everything is just right, all laid out in front of you to devour. This has to be one of the most delicious sandwich I have ever made. Ingredients : Roast beef, multigrain bread, goats cheese, lime, red bell pepper, red onion, egg, butter, cherry tomatoes and pepper jack cheese.
